The Downtown Community Partnership (DCP) is excited to announce the return of the Downtown Fargo Street Fair for its 45th year. The event will take place July 15-17, 2021 in the heart of downtown Fargo. Over 150,000 visitors are expected across the three days of this year’s Street Fair. The event is the largest, free outdoor event in North Dakota and spans eight blocks from Main Avenue north to 7th Avenue along Broadway.
Among the 200 artists and crafters, 30 food vendors, and eight alcohol vendors, visitors can find a petting zoo, face painting, and pop-up prairie. It also features live stage entertainment in the Marvin Plaza located in Broadway Square that includes a free concert Thursday night featuring the Gear Daddies and the JT Kennelly Band. Other amenities include Sparklight’s Puppy Pit Stop, Sanford Women’s Feeding/Changing Area, Sanford Children’s & Safe Kids FM tent, and nature activities from Audubon Society.
After the pandemic forced the 2020 Street Fair to be canceled, the DCP team and the Downtown business community are thrilled to invite the region to reconnect and rediscover Downtown Fargo.
“The Street Fair is a culmination of a year’s worth of hard work by our team in order to showcase the Downtown neighborhood and create a fun event for our community to enjoy,” says Lora Larson the Development Coordinator at the DCP. “Outside of being a huge economic driver for the Downtown businesses and the city as a whole, this event is our non-profit’s largest fundraiser and allows us to continue our mission of promoting and advocating for the businesses that call Downtown home.”
The event has been held annually in Downtown Fargo for 45 years by the Downtown Community Partnership whose mission is to bring together and support the businesses, promoters, advocates, and visionaries of historic Downtown Fargo and its future by connecting and partnering within our community and beyond.
The Street Fair is a perfect chance for you to visit the area or rediscover Downtown Fargo “If you haven’t been to downtown Fargo lately, there is so much new to explore!” says DCP Board chair Adrienne Olson “New buildings, new art, and new businesses are all there to ensure you have a memorable experience that is uniquely Fargo.”
The Street Fair wouldn’t be possible without the support of our sponsors which include Accelerated Greenworks, Audubon Dakota, BNSF, Costco, Essentia Health, First International Bank & Trust, FM Convention & Visitors Bureau, Ignite Chiropractic, Marvin, Metro by T-Mobile, Office Sign Company, Sanford Health, Sparklight, and Total Balance. The H2M presents: Live & Local concert on Thursday night is sponsored by Happy Harry’s, Coors Light, and Truly Hard Seltzer and is produced thanks to local partner Jade Presents.
