Emerging Prairie is excited to announce a new weekly event to support entrepreneurs called StartupBREW Fargo. This morning meetup is for entrepreneurs, innovators, creatives, and community members alike to come together and explore the entrepreneurial journey.
This event is built on the notion that entrepreneurs do better when they have access to each other and the greater community that supports them. Connection over coffee has been core to the idea of energizing our community, which is where the name StartupBREW came from.
StartupBREW Fargo will gather weekly on Wednesday mornings from 8:30 am – 9:30 am to learn, support, and inspire. This event will place an emphasis on connections in the program by limiting individual speaking time and increasing conversation. This is practiced through Coffee Club, a time to connect before the event, as well as a 20-minute Q+A session with the audience towards the end of the program.
“In 2020 alone, we were able to serve 3,734 attendees and 60 entrepreneurs on the 1 Million Cups Fargo platform, and for that, we are so grateful. We believe this restructure to StartupBREW Fargo will give us the opportunity to continue this growth and better serve our community,” shared Emma McIntyre, lead organizer of the event.
Our first event will kick off on April 28th, with Coffee Club starting at 8:00 am and the event starting at 8:30 am, at Scherling Tennis Court Complex in Island Park. Our first speaker is Nancy Mwirotsi, Founder of Pursuit of Innovation (PI515) – an organization that is challenging, inspiring, and teaching technology skills to students with potential. They are dedicated to empowering refugee and underserved youth to achieve success, garner influence, and gain stability in their families and communities.
