DCP Launches ‘Warm Hands Warm Hearts’ Winter Wear Donation Campaign

Downtown Community Partnership launches 2nd Annual Community Cozy Sharing Movement

Warm Hands, Warm Hearts is a community outreach movement created to inspire others to give when they can, take if they need with no judgement, without charge, discrimination or obligation will be placed in participating businesses again this year.

Warm Hands, Warm Hearts is a community outreach movement created to inspire others to give when they can and take if they need. There is no judgement, no charge, no discrimination, and no obligation. Collection trees will be placed in participating businesses again this year for donations.

Inspired by Heidi Holland, Owner of Beans Coffee Bar, partners from the Downtown Community Partnership (DCP), FM Coalition to End Homelessness, Homeless Health Services, Business Improvement District (BID), and Gladys Ray Shelter came together, discussed the concern and determined the mission of the movement: Share the warmth this season, no one should go cold. Create warmth-sharing “trees” located in certain locations throughout the community to provide new or gently used gloves, scarves, socks and hats for people in need.

Take if you need or leave what you can!

Warm Hands, Warm Hearts depends on donations from people like you, people who want to make a difference in the world, and recognize that a small donation can go a long way towards a huge impact on improving the lives of others.

“The DCP values the collaboration with individuals, businesses and organizations that seek solutions to address a need in the community. Through the power of connection, working together provides the very best for the overall community and provides a better result,” Melissa Brandt, President/CEO of Downtown Community Partnership states.
