Natasha Leggero will not be traveling to Fargo for its second annual Comedy Fest, kicking off tonight at the Fargo Theatre. Nick Thune has been added to the lineup and will perform this evening with Moshe Kasher and local mc, John Kennedy.
“Not exactly kicking off my tour with a bang as I am canceling my first show,” Leggero said in a released statement. “Fargo, please understand! I am a worried new mom and I don’t feel comfortable leaving my baby amidst an escalating global pandemic while LA is in a state of emergency. My husband, Moshe Kasher, is a very brave man of his word so he will be there. I am not scared of Fargo, just the hourly escalation of all things Corona here in LA and I don’t feel comfortable traveling and leaving my child. Please accept my truly talented replacement, Nick Thune.”
Comedian/actor/writer/bird owner, Thune, is from Seattle, Wash. He appeared Tonight Show with Jay Leno two times. On both occasions, he won. Comedy Central presented a half hour of Thune’s ‘world class’ stand-up comedy. It was a success for everyone involved, including the audience. Comedy Central also paid Thunes to make iThunes, a series of short films for the world wide web. In his free time, he grows tomatoes and tours the country, touching hearts, one joke at a time.
Actor/comedian/writer Kasher has quickly become one of Hollywood’s most in demand and highly regarded talents. He is the author of the 2012 memoir Kasher in the Rye: The True Tale of a White Boy from Oakland Who Became a Drug Addict, Criminal, Mental Patient, and Then Turned 16.
He can also be seen in his 2017 Comedy Central talk show, Problematic with Moshe Kasher. Named one of Variety’s “10 Comics To Watch,” Kasher is native to Comedy Central serving as co-executive producer on Another Period, on which he is also a cast member. He makes frequent appearances on Comedy Central’s @midnight with Chris Hardwick, This Is Not Happening, and Drunk History and has also appeared on the series Not Safe with Nikki Glaser and The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail. Kasher has also had roles on Portlandia, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The League, Shameless, Maron, Garfunkel and Oates and The New Normal.
Kasher has written for several films, series and specials including, Wet Hot American Summer, Zoolander 2, Another Period and the Comedy Central Roasts. He co-hosted the popular podcast The Champs and is the host of The Hound Tall Discussion Series on the Nerdist Network. In 2012, he released his first one-hour special, Moshe Kasher: Live in Oakland.
