Red River Market’s 5th season will open on Saturday, July 13th in its new location at 63 5th Street N in downtown Fargo. The farmers’ market will continue every Saturday, 10:00 a.m – 2:00 p.m. until the end of October. Opening Day will host 75 local vendors including produce, meat, eggs, bakery, pantry items, household goods, art, and more.
The harvest season kicks off with a ceremony and song by local Native group, FM Crossroads. Visitors will be able to grab breakfast, lunch, coffee, or a drink while enjoying cooking demonstrations and live performances by Jessica Vines, The Shuttles, and The Ground Zero Trio. Families can take part in educational activities with the Imagination Playground, Plains Art Museum, and Fargo Public Library.
As the Red River Market grows, new businesses will appear on Saturday including Suna’s Egyptian Eatery, a new food truck serving Egyptian street food, Sour House Breads’ homemade sourdough loaves, and Juice Box Fargo’s fresh-pressed juices and smoothies.
All vendors accept SNAP/EBT on eligible products and Red River Market matches purchases up to $10 per person per visit at the information booth.
Since it opened in 2015, the Red River Market has quickly grown into a weekly community ritual with free community programming and family activities in a welcoming community space. The Red River Market is North Dakota’s largest farmers’ market.
