FMCT Hosts Martini-Themed Fundraiser This Saturday

Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre is putting the “fun” in “fundraiser” this weekend!

From 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Stage at Island Park, FMCT invites community members 21 and older to Shaken, Not Stirred — a benefit featuring skilled mixologists who will create four signature martinis in addition to one classic martini option.

Eloise Breikjern, executive director of FMCT, says the theatre chose to do Shaken, Not Stirred as a lead-in to its upcoming production of “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,” which is set in the French Riviera.

Of course, one of the cocktails served when you go to the French Rivera is a French 75 and yes, you will find this cocktail at Shaken, Not Stirred,” Breikjern says.

In addition to fun cocktails, the event will also have appetizers and a silent auction to benefit the theatre. Attendees will also get a “drink passport” stamped at each tasting station! Who knows, you may even come away with a favorite drink.

Tickets to Shaken, Not Stirred are $45 per person and are limited. This event is sponsored by Happy Harry’s Bottle Shop. Call the box office at 701-235-6778 or visit fmct.org to purchase tickets.

The Stage at Island Park is located at 333 4th Street South in Fargo.
