Red River Market’s Fall Festival brings pumpkin patch to downtown Fargo

The Red River Market is celebrating the autumnal harvest by hosting a Fall Festival on Saturday, October 3rd.

The Fall Festival will feature an urban pumpkin patch from Dakota Melons in Lamoure, ND. Throughout the day, there will be live performances by musical guests, activities for all ages, and specialty fall items from Red River Market vendors.

Red River Market Special Events Coordinator, Jodi Regan, hopes that the event encourages the community to enjoy the chillier days that the change of seasons brings to Fargo. “The Fall Festival provides a place to gather and be outdoors in downtown Fargo as fall sets in. We want it to be an opportunity for visitors to spend time with their families and discover the variety of local produce that is available at the end of the growing season,” says Regan.

In its inaugural season, the Red River Market has attracted over 1,000 visitors every Saturday and expects to reach 2,000 for the Fall Festival. The market, which opened in July, is home to over a dozen locally grown produce vendors in addition to artists, ready-to-eat food, baked goods, fresh flowers, and hot coffee.

The Red River Market’s mission is to create a space for all community members to experience the joys of locally produced food. They are committed to bringing sustainably grown, local foods to the Fargo-Moorhead metro area, including fresh fruits, vegetables and specialty food products.
