Staying true to the mission of ideas worth spreading, TEDxFargo will be launching the TEDxFargo Beyond Series. This series will consist of an array of small scale events that will take place throughout 2020.
“TEDxFargo is adapting just like the rest of the world. We have decided to redesign our day-long conference, that typically takes place in July, into a series of smaller events. This event series will allow us to still bring innovative ideas, inspiring speakers and unique experiences to our community in a way that maintains their safety, while still providing connection and creativity,” shared TEDxFargo Co-Organizer, Emma McIntyre.
These smaller events will push the TEDxFargo team to pilot new concepts and fully embrace the mission of ideas and innovation in this new era. Most importantly, these events will be designed with safety and creativity on the forefront. The team is working with health experts to think through safety precautions such as limiting event attendance and practicing physical distancing.
“Every aspect of our world has changed rapidly – though we can’t predict how these changes will affect our new normal, we can be part of making the new normal,” shared TEDxFargo Co-Organizer, Darby Njos. “We’re inviting our community to be a part of exploring what lies beyond. Our mission is to share ideas that are a part of the solution as we think about ways in which our community can move forward and connect in a healthy, safe way for all.”
The first event the TEDxFargo team will host is a drive-in style TEDxFargo. Attendees will be invited to hear from speakers and performers from the comfort of their cars. Speakers will be broadcasted on a big screen while audio will be available through the car radios. Date and location will be released soon.
