Red River Market Hosts Spring Event at Moorhead Center Mall

The Red River Market’s regular-season starts in July, but visitors can celebrate spring with an early market on Saturday, April 24th, outside of the Moorhead Center Mall. The Spring Market will feature a selection of hot food, handmade goods, and live music from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. 

Vendors will be offering a variety of food and handmade products at their booths, including fresh bread from Sour House Breads, grass-fed beef from Sand Ranch, and gourmet mushrooms from Midheaven Garden. Midheaven Garden is a small, family-run biodynamic farm located in Park Rapids, MN. The farm is managed by Joe Morgan, who quit his desk job this year to pursue a career as a grower and maker full time. With the help of his family, Joe produces nutrient-dense vegetables and mushrooms.

Market stalls will be spaced out to allow for social distancing throughout the South West parking lot in front of the Moorhead Center Mall. Masks will be required in the shopping area with an additional socially distanced seating area to enjoy food and beverage. 

Live music will start at 10:00 a.m. with the opening bell. The stage will feature performances by local musicians Jade Teather, Mikayla Jackson, and Warren Christensen. This is the third year the market has hosted an event at the Moorhead Center Mall.
