The second season of the Red River Market is fast approaching and we are thrilled to announce our launch party, which will introduce growers, makers, bakers, and our board to attendees and the community! We’ve been busy gearing up for the first market, on July 9th, and have many new and exciting additions to make this year’s market a great success.

We would like to invite you all to join us for the 2016 Season Kick­Off on Thursday, May 19 from 5:30­7 p.m. at the Prairie Den (122 1/2 N Broadway, Fargo). We’ll be introducing our 2016 vendors to the community and some exciting events that will take place throughout the season.

We are also excited to announce that we have hired a Market Manager for 2016: Katie Preston. Katie brings great experience both by managing a lab at NDSU and by working with farmers markets during her undergraduate days at Drake University. Katie will officially assume her role as Market Manager on June 1!

This year’s market will include more vendors as well as double SNAP bucks! We’re passionate about making downtown Fargo a place where fresh and healthy local food is accessible to all people regardless of socio­economic background.

Finally, as some may already be aware, due to downtown construction we will moving the Red River Market two blocks north this season. Our 2016 market location will be Broadway & 4th Ave N. Our market will be in the parking lot surrounding the old Schumacher Goodyear building (409 Broadway N). We’re excited about this new location & look forward to sharing our vision for designing the new space at the May 19 Launch Party.
