Rockers Pop Evil will play the new The Hall at Fargo Brewing Company on September 21, 2019, with Royal Tusk and Brkn Love in support. The Hall is part of a new entertainment complex within the Fargo Brewing Company in downtown Fargo.
Pop Evil is a larger-than-life true rock n’ roll band blending the earnestness of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden with the celebratory showmanship of Motley Crue and KISS. It’s an attitude and a way of life Pop Evil has put proudly on display on tour with Godsmack (as part of Rockstar Uproar), Five Finger Death Punch, Three Doors Down, Papa Roach, Stone Sour, Three Days Grace, Theory Of A Deadman, Black Stone Cherry and more. The band’s biggest hits to date include “Monster You Made”, “Trenches”, “Deal With The Devil”, “Torn to Pieces”, “Footsteps” and “Waking Lions.”
Five albums into Pop Evil’s career, combining strong hooks with knockout punches is more important than ever. The band’s new record, simply called Pop Evil, is a surging, contemporary sounding release that incorporates metal, alternative, hard rock and even electronic music. In the wake of the band’s peppy, upbeat 2015 album Up, it’s a wake-up call, a musical rebirth that inspired the band to self-title the release, partially since they’d never done so. Their first album, Lipstick on the Mirror came out in 2008, and while it introduced listeners to the band’s core sound with well-received singles like “Hero” and “100 in a 55,” Pop Evil has grown exponentially since then.
Blue-collar troubadours from the Great White North, Royal Tusk are steadfast champions of the majesty of kickass riffs, meaty hooks, a thick bottom end and loud guitars. The four-piece band born in Edmonton, Alberta mount a high-octane assault. This is music with meaning, sometimes even a message, that’s always built around a powerful vibe and uncompromising passion. Royal Tusk is a band with more in common with Deep Purple and Aerosmith than anything on commercial radio.
Brkn Love is led by Toronto’s Justin Beniolo. The band’s debut album is produced by Joel Hamilton (Highly Suspect, Pretty Lights) and is fueled by the first single, “Shot Down.”
