On a cold, blizzard-ish Sunday in February, citizens of Fargo came together at Drekker’s Brewhalla to celebrate the joys of Midwest culinary culture: hotdish. Chefs from all over the region concocted their special twists on both classic and unique recipes, while attendees sampled their hearts out to find the best one. Molly Yeh, celebrity food blogger and cookbook author, made an appearance as a guest judge and hotdish enthusiast. And can we talk about the communal bread and butter station courtesy of Breadsmith? This event warmed our Midwestern hearts, even with a windchill of far below zero.
Congrats to Brew Restaurants for taking home the Judge’s Choice Award, Blackbird Woodfire for having the Best Booth, and to Luna for taking home the Most Unique and People’s Choice Awards.
