New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day Events in Fargo-Moorhead

Downtown Fargo-Moorhead has become the place to be to ring in the New Year. There’s no bad place to spend the evening, but here are a few highlights that you’ll want to check out.

Dempsey’s Public House

Dempsey’s celebration features D Mills & The Thrills. The event is free and includes party favors and a champagne toast at midnight.

Junkyard Brewing Company

Junkyard will have Michael Pink playing live from 9-11pm. Stick around until Midnight for the keg drop!

Everyone is doing Champagne but lets be real, beer is where it’s at! Pounds will be poppin fortays of Miller High Life, the Champagne of beers!

They’ll be featuring $2 Miller High Life 40 oz bottles. They’ll also have a drawing for a $300 bottle of Louis Roederer Cristal!

The Aquarium

The Aquarium, located above Dempsey’s, will host Weezfest VII with Weezer tributes by Famous Monsters (local metal heads do Misfits classic album Walk Among Us), What Kingswood Needs (reprise a tribute to Rancid) and Silverfuck (local all star group does Failure cover set). $5 cover with doors open at 8 pm for a 9 pm 21+ show. They’ll have a free champagne toast at midnight with noisemakers and hats.

The Nestor

The Nestor will host a New Year’s Eve masquerade ball featuring the Austin, TX based Govinda live on stage. Govinda’s live show immerses the audience with a textured atmosphere of exotic, dubby vibrations interwoven with cosmic visual projections, world class dancers and mesmerizing vocals- all to the magic of his live electronics and violin.

HoDo Bar

The bar at the Hotel Donaldson will have live music by O’Fosho doing two sets – one of music from the decades, from 1950’s to today and finishing with a set of O’Fosho favorites. Music will start at 9:30 and will go until 1 am. $5 cover.

Pickled Parrot

Party with Helena Handbasket at the Pickled Parrot on New Year’s Eve! Music starts around 9:30.

If you survived New Year’s Eve and need a bloody mary or some food on New Year’s Day, here are a couple options:

The Fargo Brewing Company

Kick off the New Year with kegs and eggs at Fargo Brewing Company! Kegs: Our popular taproom infusion Brunch Buster is going full scale with nearly 30 gallons of Stumbeano’s Coffee Bar cold press coffee and vanilla added to a robust porter. Eggs: The team at Luna Fargo will be preparing a popover & sausage egg bake, orange roll, bacon, country potatoes and fruit.

$15 per plate and includes a free pint.

It’s been an annual tradition at the Fargo AMVETS, but this will be Tom Patton’s farewell Elvis Tribute show at the club. Open to the public!
