DESCRIPTION:Moorhead\, MN (circa 1984):\nA rag tag group of garage band musicians began dabbling in home brewing. It didn’t take long for them to realize their sounds and suds were unlike anything the local scene had ever heard or tasted before. Their aspirations for global dominance prompted them to call themselves “Malaysia”\, touring the globe by feeding the ears and mouths of millions. They crafted many great beers\, but it was their unique approach to crafting the perfect wheat ale that allowed their creativity to flow and create the perfect song\, “The Wheat of the Moment.” Each tour stop prompted a new fruit flavor of wheat ale\, and crowds demanded that their pallets be pleased. \nBut the road of fame has many tragic turns\, and it wasn’t long before the band’s out-of-control expirementation with so many fruit flavors grew to the point of excess\, and ultimatley a swift fall from the top of the charts. \nBut like the mighty Phoenix\, after 40 years of recovery and redemption\, Malaysia has risen from the ashes\, banded together in brotherhood\, to hit the brew floor and recording studio again\, resurrecting “The Wheat of the Moment”! They’ve chosen to release a greatest hits of fruit flavors upon a thirsty crowd this summer\, partnering with Moorhead’s own Swing Barrel Brewing Co. \nThe Release Party Plan:\nRelease a new flavor of wheat ale every two weeks throughout the summer of 2024\, beginning with “The Wheat of the Moment – Strawberry-Rhubarb Wheat Ale” being released on Saturday\, June 8 at Swing Barrel Brewing Co.\, Moorhead\, MN. \nSpecial Guest Musicians (7 – 9:30 PM):\nPat Lenertz\nTravis Naegle\nWhat surprise flavor will the band come out with next?
