Opening Reception of “Changing Colors of the Prairie,” by Kristen Young

Please join us at the Spirit Room for the celebration of Kristen Young’s “Changing Seasons on the Prairie,” a collection of vibrant oil paintings depicting atmospheric scenes and wildlife from the local national parks as their colors shift throughout the seasons.
Kristen Young received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from MSUM in 2003 with a concentration in Painting. Since graduating she has worked as a hair dresser and infant care professional, exploring and refining her painting techniques in her spare time. Kristen has held several art exhibitions with the Spirit Room and is currently the Artist in Residence of the Spirit Room. She has also received a grant from the Minot Area Art Association to support her offerings of oil painting workshops from October 2022 to May 2023. Kristen believes her “enthusiasm and curiosity for creativity constantly inspires me to see the best in others and myself.”
