Resilient Yard Series: Make and Paint Rain Barrel Workshop

May 20 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
$69

Create a resilient yard to sustain the Red River by making and painting your own rain barrel. This is day one of a two-day workshop. Participants must be able to attend both days (May 20 and 21st, same time frame and location)

On day one, participants will hear a short presentation about the basics of water quality and the effects of stormwater runoff, sand and put a base coat on their barrel.

The second day, participants will build and paint their rain barrel. Come prepared to bring home an empty 55-gallon barrel. Wear clothes you don’t mind painting in and dress for the weather. Participants need a drill to install the rain barrel at home. Fee includes all other supplies.

Participants should come to class with an idea of the design they would like to paint on their rain barrel. Get inspiration by looking online on sites like Pinterest.
