Justice for Stringbean

January 29 @ 9:30 pm

Justice for Stringbean is a progressive string band based in the Fargo-Moorhead area that blends high-energy bluegrass with Americana grit. Taking their name from the legendary (and tragic) country figure David “Stringbean” Akeman, the group honors traditional string music while injecting it with a modern, driving spirit.

Featuring Aaron Niehaus (banjo), Aaron Johnson (guitar), Dakota Kate (fiddle), and Nic Bordwell (mandolin), the band is known for their tight vocal harmonies and fast-picking prowess. Whether playing taprooms or festivals, Justice for Stringbean delivers a foot-stomping performance that appeals to purists and new-school folk fans alike.
