Cocktail Class – Pimm’s Potations

Pimm’s No.1 is a curious little liqueur – a slice of bygone English drinking tradition that has somehow survived into the modern day. Invented in 1851 by James Pimm, this gin-based, fruit-laced potion was intended to make it easier for Pimm to construct a fruit cup. A popular drink of the day, the fruit cup could now be made by simply mixing Pimm’s with a fizzy English lemonade and garnishing appropriately. While this usage of Pimm’s has stood the test of time, the complex and pleasant bottle has found its way into many other drinks as well.

In this class, Nick Wheeler will join you on an exploration of the versatility of this delightful little bottle. While a Pimm’s Cup will certainly be offered up in some form, expect exciting new uses of Pimm’s crafted by the world’s most innovative bartenders and maybe an original take from Nick himself.
