Cocktail Class – Ingredient Inspiration: Cocchi Americano

February 7 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Taste and learn to make cocktail with Cocchi Americano

For cocktail enthusiasts, there is a common problem: the “What Else Can I Do With This” bottle. Maybe you buy a bottle to make a specific drink but do not know other ways to use it, or maybe you were tempted by the exotic flavor of a new ingredient, but once you acquired it, you are stumped how to use it in a cocktail. It is precisely to address this issue of liquors languishing in your cabinet that we have concocted this series of cocktail classes – Ingredient Inspiration! In each class, we will explore a different ingredient, focusing especially on those that are most famous for a single cocktail, and show you how they can be used in a broad range of libations.

Cocchi Americano is a quinquina, a vermouth-like fortified wine but bittered with quinine rather than wormwood. While it is not called for by name in many classic recipes, it is often listed as a substitute for Kina Lillet, the older formulation of the modern Lillet Blanc. This slightly tart, slightly sweet, slightly bitter wine is a fabulous cocktail ingredient and one that deserves to be explored in a wide range of drinks. Join us as we mix up a wide variety of classic and modern cocktails with Cocchi Americano!

Must be 21+ to attend.
