“Son of a Gun” by Ross Rolshoven

Please join us at the Spirit Room in Gallery I for Ross Rolshoven’s “Son of a Gun,” a collection of intricately crafted vintage inspired assemblages, paintings, and photographs.
Ross Rolshoven is a native North Dakotan who began his art career in photography, and eventually moved into painting and assemblage craft. His paintings and assemblages frequently have a Western and Native American theme, inspired by his daughter’s Hunkpapa- Lakota heritage, and have earned him awards in art competitions throughout the Midwest.
Ross’s art work has been on display in galleries throughout Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, and New Mexico. He has had numerous solo exhibitions going back to the early 1990’s at the Hughes Fine Art Center on the University of North Dakota campus. He also had a solo show at the North Dakota Museum of Art. He has been a featured artist in the Custer County Art Center in Miles City, Montana during the summer of 1995. He participated in the International Rough Rider Show in Williston, North Dakota where he received one of the four coveted “Buck Skinner” awards for one of his hand-tinted photographs in 1994.
