Please join us at the Spirit Room in Lotus Studio for the exhibition of Birgit
Pruess’s “Wild in Free in TRNP; the Wild Horses of Theodore Roosevelt National Park,”
a collection of photographic works of the wild horses and natural landscape of Theodore
Roosevelt National Park.
Birgit Pruess is a biologist with a Ph.D. in Biology from Germany, living in Fargo, North
Dakota. While maintaining work as a microbiologist, she has maintained her love for
everything made her study biology in the first place. In 2014, during her first trip to
Theodore Roosevelt National Park (TRNP) with the intent to find horses, she developed
her love of photography. Having come across a few Facebook pages with names and
stories about the horses, her interest was spiked. Ever since she has visited the park
several times a year and taken countless photos of horses and other wildlife. ”Wild and
Free in TRNP” is my first book that is not scientific.
