Spirits Class – with Far North Spirits
January 13 @ 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm
For Far North Spirits, it all starts on land. Located in Hallock and claiming the distinction of the farthest north distillery in the continental US, Far North sits on a family farm that has been in operation since 1917. When the distillery opened in 2013, they sought to take advantage of one of the great features of Minnesota – our agriculture. Extensive research has gone into the production of their rye whiskies, which are made from heirloom rye varietals specifically suited to the business of whiskey making. While Rye is their passion, they also produce thoroughly crafted gins, rums, and bourbon.
In this class, you will get the exciting opportunity to meet with Cheri Reese, co-founder of Far North Spirits. You will taste an exciting selection of their products, including their newly-released single-varietal rye whiskies. Expect to learn about farming in the frozen north and how this agricultural heritage lends itself to premium spirits. You won’t want to miss this!
Must be 21+ to attend.
