FARGO, N.D. – The YMCA of the Northern Sky has opened registration for its 2025 Giving Tree program, an annual initiative that provides holiday gifts to children in the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo area. The organization aims to provide gifts for 1,500 children this year.
How to Register for Assistance
Families in need of support during the holiday season can register to receive gifts through the program. Registration is now open to the public online and will continue until the program reaches its capacity.
During the registration process, parents or caregivers can submit a wish list for each child. Commonly requested items include warm winter clothing, hygiene products, books, board games, bedding, and art supplies.

- Volunteering: Individuals can sign up for volunteer shifts to help prepare, organize, and distribute gifts. Shifts are available for mid-to-late November, with more to be added in December. To sign up, visit ymcanorthernsky.org/volunteer.
- Donating Gifts: The public can purchase commonly requested items through online gift registries at Amazon and Target. Opportunities to select and fulfill individual children’s wish lists will begin in early November.
