NDSU Student Crowned First-Ever Miss Downtown Fargo

Last updated:

FARGO, N.D.—Brynn Olson, a sophomore at North Dakota State University (NDSU), was crowned the inaugural Miss Downtown Fargo on September 20, 2025, during the Miss Fargo and Miss Fargo’s Teen Competition held at the Fargo Theatre.

The new title, established by the Downtown Community Partnership (DCP), is specifically designated for a young woman connected to Fargo who will represent the city’s central business district.

Olson, 19, is a Marketing student at NDSU and a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. Throughout her year-long reign, she will promote the culture and vibrancy of Downtown Fargo while advocating for her Community Service Initiative, BIO Girls: Beautiful Inside and Out, a program focused on building confidence in young women.

Rocky Schneider, Executive Director of the DCP and a competition judge, highlighted the new titleholder’s connection to the university. “Her representing Downtown Fargo as an NDSU student is a perfect example of the long-standing collaborative relationship between the university and our city center,” Schneider stated.

Olson is scheduled to appear at several DCP and community events, including the Xcel Energy Holiday Lights Parade on December 6, 2025. She is also slated to compete in the Miss North Dakota Competition, an official preliminary to Miss America, in June.

The Miss Fargo & Miss Fargo’s Teen Competition is open to young women ages 14–27 who live, work, or attend school in North Dakota. Olson’s journey as Miss Downtown Fargo can be followed on Instagram at @MissDowntownFargo.
