About John 5
Born as John William Lowery on July 31, 1970, in Gross Pointe, Michigan, John 5’s passion for the guitar ignited at the age of seven while watching the “Hee Haw” series with his father. Influenced by legends like KISS and Jimi Hendrix, he has released nine studio albums, a live album, and a remix album. Collaborating with artists such as Albert Lee, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and Jim Root, John 5’s versatility knows no bounds.
In addition to his solo work, John 5 formed the “radio rock project” Loser with Joe Grah (formerly of Texas band Jibe). Their debut single, “Disposable Sunshine,” featured on the “Fantastic Four” soundtrack, showcased their creative synergy.
John 5’s journey also led him to join forces with Rob Zombie for a short Ozzfest tour in 2006, sparking a resurgence in Zombie’s career. His solo endeavors include albums like “Season Of The Witch,” the live recording “It’s Alive,” and the 2019 release “Invasion.” The current lineup of The Creatures includes Ian Ross on bass and drummer Logan Miles Nix.
