On Wednesday, July 12th, the Red River Valley Fair will be hosting Grammy Award-winning rock band Switchfoot on the Titan Machinery Stage located in the All Finish Concrete Grandstand. The show will be opened by American Scarecrows.
As a special treat for Heroes Day at the Fair, Switchfoot’s performance will be free for those attending the fair. Heroes Day is dedicated to honoring and recognizing all the military and first responder heroes within the community by offering free admission to the fair and holding a Hometown Heroes Ceremony before the show.
Switchfoot has sold almost 10 million copies of their twelve studio albums worldwide. Their 2003 double-platinum breakthrough album, The Beautiful Letdown, and 2009’s Grammy Award-winning Hello Hurricane have undoubtedly contributed to their success.
The band has also graced Alternative radio with numerous hit singles and has performed in 40 countries, selling over 5 million concert tickets. It’s no wonder that Switchfoot has amassed a devoted and loyal fan base, given their emotionally intelligent and uplifting style of alternative rock. Furthermore, the band’s BRO-AM Foundation has raised an impressive $2 million to help children in their community, a testament to their commitment to giving back.
The band is comprised of Jon Foreman (vocals, guitar), Tim Foreman (bass), Jerome Fontamillas (keys, guitar) and Chad Butler.
