Area residents are invited to jump start their summer by attending the “All Together Now” themed kickoff event at Skate City on Monday, June 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The library, in partnership with Skate City, will provide free admission and skate rental at the event for kids age 16 and younger. Admission and skate rental for adults and teens (ages 17 and older) is $10.00 per person. Attendees will also be able to register at the event for the Summer Reading Challenge. Residents do not need to be registered for the online reading program to attend Fargo Public Library events.

Pre-registration for the summer reading challenge is open online and readers can join the program any time until Aug. 26. The program uses Beanstack, an online service for readers of all ages, to log the days they spend reading to earn prizes. Register at https://fargolibrary.beanstack.org or pick up an official reading log at any Fargo Public Library location beginning June 5; all participants need to register to take part. Paper reading logs will be available; however, patrons are encouraged to use the online format.
