Concordia Hosts Speaker on Journalism’s Role in Democracy

The Lorentzsen Center for Faith and Work continues its exploration of the question “How do we build a more trustworthy world?” in March’s: “Journalism and Democracy” from noon-1 p.m. CDT Thursday, March 30, with Christine Emba. The event is a hybrid in-person (limited seating) and virtual conversation in Barry Auditorium in the Grant Center. 

Emba is a journalist at The Washington Post writing on society, ideas, and culture. She writes about ideas for The Post’s opinions section. In this keynote address, Emba will talk about the important role of journalism in American democracy at a time of widespread disinformation and misinformation. She is the author of “Rethinking Sex: A Provocation.”
