Fifth Annual Hotdish Festival Coming To Drekker Brewing February 5th

On Sunday, February 5th from 1-4 pm, Drekker Brewing Company is hosting the “hottest” event in the Midwest — The Fargo Hotdish Festival. A day of food and fun that gives guests another excuse to pull out their favorite holiday stretchy pants.

The Fifth Annual Fargo Hotdish Festival will be a celebration of Midwest culture and our greatest gift to the culinary world: Hotdish. It will be a festival-style event where 400+ attendees will get to sample hotdish from some of the best restaurants in Fargo and surrounding areas and vote for their favorites.

“It’s so much fun to get people together in celebration of this Midwest delicacy and we can’t wait for everyone to see what all these amazing restaurants whipped up for them” explains Mark Bjornstad, President of Drekker Brewing Company.

Attendees have the opportunity to visit each booth to receive samples of that vendor’s hotdish while enjoying communal bread & butter stations and homemade kuchen.

Restaurants will have the chance to reign supreme as the 5th Annual Hotdish Festival Champ (or win other cool awards too).

Hotdish is always sure to draw a crowd in Fargo-Moorhead! Photo by Drekker Brewing.

“Every year there’s a very friendly competition for the best hotdish and they keep getting more creative year by year. I actually think this year is when we’ll see that competition spill over to the Best Booth competition. I think we’re all in for some surprises.” shares Bjornstad.

This year’s judges include Charley Johnson (President/CEO of the Fargo Moorhead Convention & Visitors Bureau), John Lamb (reporter at The Inforum), and Drekker’s own Head Brewer and resident Foodie, Tom Knowlton! KFGO’s JJ Gordon is back again as emcee to keep the fun rolling throughout the event.

Back again this year is the themed photo booth, which has become quite the tradition. Guests will have the chance to snag a commemorative hotdish festival picture to share on social media and make their friends jealous.

Uffda, tickets are sold out but don’t worry, this is an annual event so plan to snag tickets for next year’s fun!
