Fargo Library To Offer Several Events for Teens and Kids During Fall Break

Pumpkin decorating, creepy crafts, Bad Kitty themed program and a reptile event are planned throughout the school break

Are you looking for something fun and interesting for teens and kids in your household to do over the upcoming fall break? If so, the Fargo Public Library has several free events scheduled to help make the most of the days off from school.

Youngsters of all ages are invited to the library during two pumpkin decorating sessions on Thursday, Oct. 20. The first session will be held at Main Library (101 4th St. N.) beginning at 11 a.m. The second session will take place at the Dr. James Carlson Library (2801 32nd Ave. S.) starting at 2 p.m. Participants should bring one pumpkin per child, and the Fargo Public Library will provide the decorating supplies. This activity is best suited for youth ages three and older. Registration is not required. For additional details, please contact the Children’s Services Department at 701.241.1495.

Kids Pumpkin Decorating & Painting

Teens are invited to summon their inner Halloween spirit and attend the “Creepy Craft” workshop. Participants will create one of two projects: a glowing mummy hand or creepy eyeball bouquet. This festive event will take place on Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Main Library (101 4th St. N.) beginning at 2 p.m. Space is limited; pre-registration is required. Teen Creepy Crafts

Youth in grades K through 4th grade are invited to attend the “Bad Kitty vs. The Library” events on Friday, Oct. 21. These free events will feature Bad Kitty stories, snacks, activities and crafts. The first session will take place at 11 a.m. at the Main Library (101 4th St. N.), and a second session is scheduled at the Dr. James Carlson Library (2801 32nd Ave. S.) beginning at 2 p.m. Registration is not required. The Fargo Public Library will celebrate National Reptile Day in partnership with the NDSU Herpetology Club on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. at the Main Library (101 4th St. N.). Club members will be on hand to show off some of their scaly sidekicks and provide close-up interactions with these cold-blooded creatures. A reptile craft and other themed activities will be available during this free event. Registration is not required.
