Noon-hour Holiday Concerts from the Fargo Theatre

Five local organists to stream concerts from the Fargo Theatre’s Mighty Wurlitzer Organ to benefit food pantry

FARGO, N.D. — Counting down the days until Christmas, organists from the Red River Theatre Organ Society will be live-streaming free daily concerts of holiday music starting December 19 on the Society’s YouTube channel. Concerts will begin at 12:00 pm and will be posted for later viewing for those unable to watch the program live. Links to the free streams are available on the RRTOS’ website, www.rrtos.org, and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/RedRiverTOS.

Noon-hour holiday concerts have been a 41-year tradition at the Fargo Theatre and are an opportunity for the community to come together and collect food for Fargo’s Emergency Food Pantry. Rather than collecting physical donations this year, viewers are encouraged to donate to the Emergency Food Pantry on their website.

“The Holiday Pipes series is one of my favorite traditions each year. It is a wonderful opportunity to share some festive music, introduce the community to the Mighty Wurlitzer, and help those in need by collecting donations for the emergency food pantry,” said Ryan Hardy, President of the Red River Theatre Organ Society. “While the series will look a little different this year, area fans of the event will still be able to enjoy the incredible sounds of North Dakota’s last remaining theatre organ online while helping those in need.”
