Lake Agassiz Concert Band Hosting Reunion Concert to Celebrate 30th Season

Since 1987, Lake Agassiz Concert Band has engaged community members with outstanding musical performances and provided hundreds of local musicians the opportunity to share their talents.

With over 60 adult wind and percussion players currently in the band, the group’s goal is to “create an artistic outlet for serious wind and percussion performers in the area, and to perform challenging traditional and contemporary wind band music,” the band stated in a press release.

To commemorate its 30th season, Lake Agassiz Concert Band is hosting a Legacy Concert to reunite and celebrate former members who have contributed their talents in the past. The Legacy Concert is at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church. The concert is free and open to the public.

Following the performance, Lake Agassiz Concert Band will host a reception in the church basement for all former and current members and their families.

“In addition to honoring the past, we will also be inspiring the future generation of concert goers and young musicians by presenting the 2nd annual Lake Agassiz Concert Band Allegro Grant,” says band president, Tyler Rebrovich.

The $1,000 grant will be awarded to Grace Lutheran Church, which plans to use the grant to expand the band library and create an annual invitational band day, as shown in their Allegro Grant video application:

First Presbyterian Church is located at 650 2nd Avenue North in downtown Fargo. For more information on Lake Agassiz Concert Band, visit lakeagassizconcertband.org. You can also follow them on Facebook!
