Log the Sauna at Frostival

Fargo’s winters are long, dark, and cold, but a long-standing Scandinavian tradition can help in combatting a bout of seasonal depression. Log the Mobile Sauna is a seven-foot tall cedar sauna on wheels heated by a wood fired stove that warms the barrel shaped room to temperatures of up to 200 degrees.

Log the Sauna is returning to the winter festival, Frostival, on Saturday, January 28th at the event’s base camp in downtown Fargo.  Interested sauna-goers can get a ticket to a 45-minute time slot where they will be able to have a full sauna experience. Groups of six at a time can sauna together throughout the afternoon. Tickets for the event are still available at www.logatfrostival.eventbrite.com.

Log the Sauna is a project of Folkways:

Folkways is a community building venture who works with the artists, musicians, and small business owners of our community to create spaces for culture to flourish. We believe that a compelling culture instills a sense of belonging in a community.

With this mission, we’ve created a farmers’ market, a waffle shop, a sauna on wheels, a course for entrepreneurs, and much more. Through these urban, artistic, and communal experiments, we hope to make Fargo the best place on earth to live. More information is available at www.folkways.co.
